BHPian pk1972 recently shared this with other enthusiasts. I took my new Kodiaq for a spin today. I had filled V-Power from Shell when I took delivery. On the highway near Bengaluru today, filled 10-litres of regular petrol at Shell as they did not have V-Power. 2 minutes into the drive I have the EPC warning.
SOURCE: Fuel Gauge displays 1/4 tank, nice car a skoda ,2004 so its common rail and whats happening is a valve in the pump on the common rail injector where it draws the fuel up is defective and its allowing the fuel to run back to the tank ,quick solution is is to fit a non return valve in the in side and one on the return that will cure your problem and its cheaper than having the high
1) Bad Throttle Body. A bad throttle body is one of the major causes of the illuminated EPC light. The main function of the throttle body is to control the amount of air drawn into the engine when the accelerator pedal is depressed. Your vehicle’s EPC system uses the data of the throttle body to control engine performance.

Quick answer: no. The EPC light could indicate a wide range of problems, some relatively minor and some more serious. If your vehicle has an illuminated EPC light and is in limp-in mode, you need to take it to a dealer for diagnosis and repair as soon as you can. In addition, some Volkswagen vehicles equipped with an Electronic Stability

Skoda call it the Emission Control System light which is confusing as it actually covers much more than that, almost all faults will activate the EML. The AA's advice to take the car for a run to burn off soot deposits is fundamentally flawed, surprising given their reputed knowledge.
Thanks @TheClient, I did some deep googling as I couldn't sleep for a few hours stressing about the car.Found a video explaining the relation to the sensor 3 and the cooling jet system, and in that car with the same fault it turned out to be the camshaft.

Move off, no problem, but decide to pull over at the earliest opportunity and do my own stop-start (i.e., turn the car on and off again). Car starts normally, EPC light is on for a few seconds, then goes off. I drive off, pull up again and try the stop-start system. It works normally.

Your car uses an electronic throttle pedal in conjunction with an electronic throttle body which regulates the air flow into the engine. The faults could be with the throttle pedal, throttle body, airflow or pressure sensor, brake light switch, brake light bulbs or anything else within the system. If there is a fault logged and the warning It's a black plastic module with 2 pipes coming from it at the top lefthand side of the engine bay just behind the plastic engine cover. Part No. 076906051A from seat/skoda/vw/audi. I got the faulty sensor (which determined EPC light, then DPF light, then general engine anomaly) changed with no probs under warranty by my Skoda dealer. Recently my EPC warning light shows on, my rpm scale looks and behave a little weird and the car 'jumps' while driving, like a gear problem or something Also, sometimes my car just stops, the rpm scale go to 0 and the battery red light shows up. I used to fix it by turn off the car, start it a

Posted 31 May, 2020. PS. Forgot. Call Skoda Assist and say you do not want to drive with a 'Warning Light', they can send out the AA or anyone they want to check the Fault Code, save it, and reset. See where it goes from there. If it happens again Skoda Assist can arrange a Courtesy / Hire car. Location: Brighton, UK. Model: Fabia 2.0 MPI Elegance. Posted 8 October, 2016. Replace the brake switch, and check the reverse bulb before replacing the reversing switch, the failed brake switch is putting the EPC light on. At a skoda dealer was from about £950 at the same time. It's probably 5 or 6 hours work. And if it is one of the other tensioner that will add a bit more in labour and parts but the bulk of the cost is getting everything opened up.
